Happy Saturday, my dears!
I thought I’d do snippets from Joey’s brother Derrick’s story, Truck Me How I Like It. Derrick Choi is in the first person, and below is the opening scene.

If this guy moves any slower, I might just kill him.
I took a deep breath, willing myself to keep calm. Iād promised Adrian Mitchell, my boss at ConcreteXpress, that I would watch my temper. But this dude was pushing it.
Iād had run-ins with him before, and they had almost cost me my job. The forklift operator just knew how to push my buttons. It was as though he existed to make my life hell.

There’s always somebody like that, right?
World wouldn’t turn without them, right? š
Some people are just naturals at driving others insane. Wonder if he realises what he’s doing?
He does, and he will pay! š
Great beginning! Is this guy is going to end up as the love interest?
Thanks, and no, not the love interest. š
Oh, such people crawl all over me… in their own world and at their own speed no matter whose way they get in. Nice opening.
Thank you! š
I used to know someone like that. Drove me crazy! š
All we can do is endure… or punch them. š
Great opening scene. Looks like sparks are going to fly.
And not in a good way! Thanks. š
Ouch…I’ve had to take many a similar breath. (wry grin)
Right? People like that just need to be…well. š
Ooh, sounds like he needs several deep breaths and to count to ten, LOL.
I would probably need to count to twenty! š
I’ve had that thought about a lot of people…
There’s always one, right?
