Happy Sunday!
One of my neighbor’s was so thoughtful as to burn their yard trash this afternoon, thus my doors are closed and throat is raspy. How’s your Sunday? 🙂
Here’s a snippet from “Of Paws and Pet Rocks”, published by JMS Books. Barry is the main character; Trixie is his sister; Sid is Trixie’s husband; and Timothy is their one-year-old. Barry is on the phone with Trixie for dating advice. Sheldon is the potential date in question.
—
“Oblivious, that’s your middle name. Sounds like he’s into you. What’s the problem?” Trixie asked.
“I’m really not dating material. I have too much baggage. And I’m financially insolvent,” I replied.
“The right man won’t care about that. The next time Sheldon says or does something like this, be bold and reciprocate. Take a

“You’re such a—”
“Wonderful, caring human being? Yes, I am. You’re lucky to have me. Now, say good night to Timothy.”
“Good night, Timothy.”
Gurgle.
“Night, Barry!”
“Night, Sid.”
“Love you, brother mine.”
“Love you, too, sis.

I love Trixie!
Me, too. She was fun to write as a character. 🙂

Sounds like Trixie gives good advice!
Yes, she does 🙂
Jerktastic – my new favourite word 😀 Loved it. Seems like there’s some making excuses going on there
