Rainbow Snippets September 24-25

Happy Sunday!

Sorry I haven’t been around much. I was in the hospital all last week, and now trying to catch up. Hope you are well!

Here’s a snippet from “Truck Me Back to Normal,” published by MLR Press.

Just as I took another sip, Bear walked into the kitchen, and I almost dropped my cup.

Jesus, he was hot. My reaction to this man was getting out of hand. I’d never felt such a powerful pull to anyone else in my life. And it wasn’t just because I hadn’t had sex in years, though that was a part of it. A small part, I kept telling myself.

Weekday Bear was all about work—stiff, polite, stern. But weekend Bear? The man could out-flame fire. He wore a T-shirt that on a smaller man would have been ordinary, but on Bear, not quite. It was well worn, with holes here and there that gave me a peek of hot skin I wanted to taste. It molded to his massive chest like it was a part of him. He wore old gym shorts that showcased legs like tree trunks. I wanted to wrap myself around them and hump.

Shit.

Happy Sunday! Sooooo late – sorry!

I actually managed to post this a day early – go me! Hope you’re well. 🙂

Here’s a snippet from “Truck Me All Night Long,” published by MLR Press. (R for language)

“That was a helluva fuck, baby. Thanks,” I said, when we went back into the bar area.

“Glad you liked it,” Matt replied. “You looked like you needed a pick-me-up.”

“Did I now?” Had he been watching me?

“I saw you earlier, talking to that smoking hot guy that left.” So what am I, then?

“The bartender told me you only did one-night-stands with guys around my age, so after your friend left, I kept my eye on you. You seemed a little down.”

Oh no.

“So you felt sorry for me, is that it? You gave me a damn pity fuck?” Jesus.

“Maybe.”

Happy Sunday!

Here’s a snippet from “Because of Sam,” published by MLR Press. It’s from a scene between Martin (three-year-old Sam’s uncle) and Ryan (who works at Sam’s daycare center). Enjoy. 🙂

“Any help you’re willing to give would definitely be appreciated, but I don’t want you to think that’s the only reason I want you with us.”

“No?” Ryan looked at me, and I realized what he was asking.

“We’ve only just met, Ryan, but what I know of you intrigues me. I’d like to pursue that, see where it goes, if that’s all right with you?”

He let out a breath. “That’s definitely all right with me. You don’t mind that I’m…younger than you?”

“Only by a few years, and that doesn’t bother me in the slightest. Who am I to judge, anyway? I haven’t been on a date in years, and I’m not much of a prize, myself, with my scars and all.”

“But you’re hotter than fire!” Ryan blushed. “Jesus, my mouth…”

Happy Sunday!

Here’s a snippet from, “Truck Me How I Like It.” Enjoy. 🙂

“You waited,” he said as he sat beside me again. The bartender gave him a Bud this time.

“You can drink now?” I asked, watching him guzzle it down in a few swallows.

“Yeah, but not too many. I still have to drive home tonight, but I need to unwind a bit.” Putting himself in my personal space, Paul continued, “You stayed, Derrick. Tell me why.” The finger that ran up my inseam was distracting.

“You intrigue me,” I said, opening my legs a little so he could have access to my dick, if he wanted it. I was his for the taking.

Happy Sunday!

Here’s a snippet from, “Truck Me All Night Long.” Enjoy. 🙂

“Fine, I accept your apology.”

“Thanks. But what do I do now? The man I love cheated on me with another guy, someone way younger than me. That hurts.”

This would take tact and careful handling. “Adrian, don’t take this the wrong way, but, you’re a condescending, know-it-all son of a bitch, most days.” See? I was tactful, kinda.

Rainbow Snippets June 18 & 19

Halloooo, Snippeteers! This little excerpt comes from “Truck Me Back To Normal.”

Enjoy,

J.D. Walker 🙂

“Joey! We gotta talk. Please? Just talk, I swear.”

Worn out, I turned and leaned my head against the peeling paint. “I don’t think that’s a good idea, Bear.”

“We either talk it out now, or it’ll happen in front of witnesses. You want that? Really?”

Grrr.

I opened the door and rested against the doorjamb. I was sure I looked a sight, and the spot I’d punched on Bear’s face was turning purple. Wonderful. “Talk.”

“Joey, I get that you’re worried about being relationship material for…well, anyone. But you have to try sometime, right? I’m okay with it being fucking around to start with, if that’s what
you need. I’m happy to go at whatever pace you want, in fact, as long as you don’t shut me out. Can’t we at least try to be friends? You need a friend, don’t you?”

I shook my head. “Bear, I don’t—”

He lifted a finger and pressed it against my lips. “I don’t, either. But maybe we can find out together, huh?” And then, he slowly pulled my traitorously willing body to his, and right there on a hot afternoon, with dirt on our clothes and grass in our hair, Bear kissed me, and I was lost.
